The Osmonds

Crazy Horses entered the UK charts in November 1972. The only previous Osmonds single to have entered the UK charts was Down By the Lazy River, which peaked at No. 40 in March 1972.

In between those two, Donny Osmond had had two solo hits – starting with Puppy Love, which spent five weeks at No. 1 in the Summer of 1972. His follow–up, Too Young, peaked at No. 5; his next four singles also made the Top Ten, and two of them – The Twelfth of Never and Young Love – reached No. 1 in 1973.

Little Jimmy Osmond's Long Haired Lover from Liverpool was the UK's Christmas No. 1 in 1972 – reaching the top spot on 23 December and staying there for five weeks. Collectively, The Osmonds had one No. 1 hit in the UK: Love Me For a Reason, which spent three weeks there in August 1974.
